And it’s why our business strategy centers on making journalism so good that it’s worth paying for.

The New York Times is continuing to expand its video journalism, identifying compelling visual stories across the depth and breadth of our reporting. We showcase the expertise of Times journalists on‑camera, share urgent news updates, produce on‑ground reporting, pioneer visual investigations, and produce video podcasts.

Job Overview

  • Collaborate with newsroom social and video teams to ensure smooth production timelines and delivery, including pitching posts for the social team and writing captions.
  • Pitch and develop short‑form vertical video storytelling that is journalistically powerful and visually transformative.
  • Handle the pressure of newsroom deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be open to experimenting with new ideas.
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth.

  • Experience working in video podcasts.
  • Experience working in newsroom environments.
