Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of professional video editors in the United States to build post-production tasks for AI training and evaluation. Editors will own original footage, or source openly licensed material, and create editing briefs for realistic tasks.

Applicants should have 5+ years of professional editing experience across film, TV, commercials, or creator content, and be fluent in at least one major editor (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid).

Qualifications

• 5+ years editing professionally in film, TV, commercials or creator content.
• Ability to author realistic editing briefs from source footage.
• Comfort with delivery specs: resolution, frame rate, codecs, audio layouts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute original footage you shot or source openly licensed footage and author realistic editing briefs.
• Build each task end to end in your editing software, including introducing defects or distractors as required, and produce the reference edit.
• Write the grading criteria — concrete, checkable standards with editorial reasoning.
• Blind-solve tasks built by other editors and document a step-by-step solution.
