Elemental Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Video Compression Development Engineer to build advanced video processing functions and work on codecs like VVC, AV1, HEVC, and HDR. You will solve problems for customers by leveraging ML and Generative AI at scale.

Your work will impact thousands of streams worldwide and reach millions of viewers, with the full resources of AWS backing your efforts. You will join an experienced team across multiple locations and own impactful deliverables.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Improving the quality per bit in our home-grown video encoders.
Design and incorporate ML components to improve video quality and enable new use cases for our customers.
Design and implement improved video filters, whether this be a scaler, deinterlacer, or a brand new perceptual filter
Improve compute performance of our video processing
