Overview

Opportunity: Senior Vice President of Business Development

HHM Hotels is among the fastest growing and most stable management, investment, and development firms in our sector, with a robust hotel portfolio across North America and strong relationships with sophisticated institutional partners.

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead our expansion through new management opportunities. This pivotal role reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Head of Development, and is a key part of the larger development team.

The Vice President of Business Development will play a crucial role in enhancing overall portfolio value by representing HHM to both existing and prospective clients.

Your Focus
  • Develop relationships with key institutions seeking long-term capital deployment, including REITs, private equity firms, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds.
  • Source, negotiate, and secure new long-term management opportunities aligned with market or geographic strategies.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with owners, lenders, brokers, consultants, and brands to build a high-quality pipeline.
  • Assess properties for financial return, operational quality, location, and fit within HHM’s portfolio.
  • Underwrite and analyze opportunities considering financials, market dynamics, digital strategy, and capital needs.
  • Negotiate management agreements with long-term partners.
  • Support sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with new and existing owners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Your Background and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • At least 10 years of hospitality business development or related experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the lodging industry and financial proformas.
  • Experience in hospitality, real estate finance, and hotel management development is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in hotel management development, contracting, negotiation, capital markets, or underwriting is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years at the Vice President level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Self-motivated, organized, results-driven, and deadline-oriented.
  • Strong client relationship skills ensuring long-term retention and growth.
