Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a senior Associate Vice Chancellor of Enterprise Communications to lead reputation, internal and external communications, media relations, and strategic counsel across the university and medical center.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree.
• Work Experience: 15+ years in Communications/Marketing with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Core skills: Crisis communication, reputation management, and strategic planning.

Responsabilités

• Strategic counsel and institutional voice: develop a multi-year internal/external comms strategy with the CMCO.
• Internal communications: lead a team delivering broad internal comms across faculty, staff, clinicians, residents, and students.
• External communications and media relations: serve as spokesperson; manage earned-media and interactions with reporters and influencers.
• Digital communications and AI: define digital strategy across owned channels; advance responsible AI usage in content and analytics.
• Thought leadership: build programs for Chancellor and leaders as authoritative voices; cultivate signature platforms.
• Issues and crisis management: maintain crisis comms plan and manage responses with leadership, legal, risk, and clinical teams.
• Enterprise coordination and leadership: link central comms with embedded teams; oversee budget and metrics.
