Job summary

DECK 13 Interactive GmbH is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to design and implement high-quality visual effects for its next generation of games using Unreal Engine 5. You will work across character, combat and environmental setups, collaborating with the Tech, Art, Animation and Design teams to push visual fidelity while maintaining performance.

The role requires a deep understanding of VFX pipelines, a strong showreel, and the ability to work with both realistic and stylized styles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional VFX experience in games.
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and VFX pipelines.
• Experience shipping AA/AAA titles.
• Proficient in CG workflows and VFX toolsets.
• Impressive showreel demonstrating high-quality work.
• Ability to work across realistic and stylized art styles.
• Strong knowledge of lighting, color theory, composition.
• Interest in current VFX trends.

Senior VFX Artist (f/m/x)

To continue our success story, we are now looking for you to join our team as our new Senior VFX Artist (f/m/x).

Your Mission Includes:

• Design and create stunning VFX for complex character, combat and environment setups in Unreal
• Create stunning and performant visual effects in close collaboration with the Tech Department
• Develop new processes and pipelines
• Work closely with members of different departments (Art, Animation, Design, and Tech)
• Identify and overcome technical and visual challenges

Your Toolkit:

• 5+ years of professional experience in VFX for games
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and its VFX pipelines and workflows
• Experience in various software tools for creating VFX assets
• Experience shipping several AA or AAA titles
• Broad experience in CG technical aspects and pipeline developments
• An impressive showreel proofing your high-quality work
• Ability to work with different art styles (realistic and stylized)
• Interest in current VFX trends
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing and motion
• Basic knowledge of lighting, color theory, and composition
