Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a Senior VFD Technician to install, troubleshoot, and commission VFD systems for clients in the NY/NJ area. You will respond to breakdowns, perform on-site repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and advise on upgrades while ensuring safe operations and strong customer relations.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on VFD experience, ability to read electrical drawings, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with VFD systems and multiple manufacturers.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, PID's, and electrical schematics.
• Valid driver's license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work from heights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, start-up, commission and verify VFD functionality across brands.
• Maintain safe field practices and communicate progress to management and customers.
• Perform on-site repairs, preventive maintenance, and advise on equipment upgrades.
