AbbVie is seeking a veterinary pathologist to assess safety of experimental compounds across nonclinical safety models. You will be a scientific SME in cross-functional teams, designing in vivo and in vitro studies and integrating data to prepare comprehensive safety assessments for early drug development.

The role involves leading pathology reports, collaborating with toxicologists and pathologists, and addressing regulatory inquiries while complying with company policies.

Qualificações

• DVM or equivalent required
• Board Certification in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology (ACVP) strongly preferred
• PhD in pathology or related discipline strongly preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacology, toxicology and drug development
• Seasoned experience in biological research and supervisory abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication with a record of scientific contributions
• 5-15 years of experience as a veterinary pathologist in the pharmaceutical industry

Responsabilidades

• Provide scientific expertise as a member of cross-functional teams.
• Design, direct, and evaluate in vivo studies to determine toxicity in different species.
• Integrate data to generate a pathology report as part of the Toxicology report.
• Collaborate with toxicologists and pathologists to develop strategies.
• Address regulatory queries in multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead issue resolution and participate in due diligence.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies.
