Desort in Southlake, TX is seeking a Senior Veterinarian to lead a new practice launch with clinical direction and growth opportunities. This role blends patient care with leadership, ownership potential, and financial incentives as the practice develops its culture and standards.

You will provide high-quality medical care, mentor a team, establish protocols, and participate in community outreach while shaping the future of the hospital.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
• Previous experience practicing veterinary medicine.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and client-service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive veterinary care to patients.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, and other appropriate medical procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations clearly with clients.
• Establish and maintain high standards of medical care within the practice.
• Help develop clinical protocols, workflows, and standards as the practice grows.
• Mentor and support associate veterinarians and veterinary support staff.
• Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and developing members of the veterinary team.
• Promote a collaborative, positive, and patient-focused hospital culture.
• Participate in community outreach, client education, and practice-growth initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with applicable veterinary regulations.
• Support the long-term development and success of the practice.
