Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to make clean lines and cuts when welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience performing quality inspections and meeting specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to determine material quantities and sizes.
• Bolt aligned structural steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding.
• Hoist steel beams and components into place using cranes or hoisting equipment.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using torches and welding equipment.
• Fabricate metal parts according to blueprints or supervisor instructions and inspect welds for quality.
