Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Sr. Manager, Venue Infrastructure Delivery to lead end-to-end design, build, and delivery for a key Games-time venue in Los Angeles 2028. You will manage 3–4 staff plus external partners, advancing venue designs to on-site execution, construction, and delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Expect on-site visits and extended hours during critical milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure delivery.
• Familiarity with temporary infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to occasionally visit venues and work on-site as needed.
• Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships.
• Experience working with senior executives across multiple functional areas.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of people development and revenue achievement.
• Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
• Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues.
• Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate department staff.
• Directly supervise sub-functions including design teams.
• Develop and adhere to departmental budget with clear steps to implement, monitor, and measure deliverables.
• Assist in delivering the design development strategy and process for a Games-time venue.
• Support integration of internal stakeholders with external delivery partners (architecture, engineering, and other departmental resources) to ensure a coordinated process.
• Facilitate approvals and review processes for all internal and external stakeholders involved in establishing venue technical requirements.
• Ensure a robust, data-driven approach to venue design and delivery, providing fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions.
• Establish close working relationships with key functional areas (Event Management, Hospitality & Ticketing, Games Operations, etc.) to align design development with cross-functional planning timelines and objectives.
• Work with the IOC and IPC to understand requirements, gain strategic buy-in, and expedite approval processes where necessary.
• Align with the Infrastructure Program Management sub-function on planning for milestones, deliverables, procurement, and cost, and problem-solve and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
