Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Vendor Performance Manager to define the vision, roadmap, and drive program execution for our Maintenance business servicing Middle Mile assets. The role requires deep supply chain understanding and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to build efficient business models.

You will negotiate with vendors and 3PLs, set KPIs, manage risk, present strategies to senior leaders, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• 1+ years of vendor management experience.
• Vendor management experience.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Senior Vendor Performance Manager for vendor maintenance team, managing performance of vendors. (KPIs, SLA, etc.)
• Work with external vendors and set expectations, raising the bar on operational performance.
• Source, define, build and manage the Maintenance business.
• Define a vision for how this program will work and cost.
• Write whitepapers to gain initial buy‑in and alignment as well as provide status updates as the project completes critical milestones and time intervals.
• Identify key performance metrics and create a reporting suite that allows for program management when the program is fully scaled.
• Define short-term, mid-term, and long-term timelines and project phases.
• Lead supply chain risk mitigation activities and correct vendor performance issues.
• Present supply chain strategies and program business reviews to Operations and Finance leaders.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, and suppliers to minimize space required to hold sufficient inventory to keep the business running smoothly.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives to ensure the lowest possible total cost.
• Lead strategic initiatives and create mechanisms to measure performance and streamline processes across all vendors.
