Job Summary

Serves as the Vendor Relationship Owner (VRO) for assigned vendors. Maintains strong relationships with vendors. Evaluates vendor performance, conducts vendor risk assessments and scheduled vendor reviews. Manages all related vendor contracts and facilitates contract negotiation. Responsible to oversee the tactical execution of the Third-Party Management function ensuring all work is done in accordance with all Vendor Management Policies and Procedures while ensuring compliance with any applicable governing federal, state and/or local rules and regulations. Acts as an advisor to business areas and vendors.

Responsibilities

· Overall responsibility for vendor program performance, day to day relationships and support of complex, high profile vendor partners.

· Independently monitor, evaluate and report on partner performance as a result of compiling data, performing analysis and review of performance measurements.

· Perform analysis and identification of trends in order to identify opportunities and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement of vendor partner performance.

· Assist junior staff on an as needed basis.

· Research invoices and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.

· Participates in key business area projects, interacting with functional peer groups to lead cooperative effort(s) among members of the immediate business team. May be a participant in a larger project initiatives. May participate in contract architecture and negotiations.

· Partners with support lines of business to ensure that the operations requirements are identified and provided in a timely manner.

· Responsible for the tactical execution of the Third-Party Management policy and standards in accordance with all IBC processes/policies as well as all governing federal, state and local rules and regulations.

· Ensures business submits required artifacts supporting the completion of initial and ongoing due diligence activities.

· Works closely with third-party leadership team(s) to establish and monitor key performance metrics to ensure alignment with departmental goals.

· Assists with the performance of risk oversight and development of internal controls to ensure compliance with third-party policy, standard, and procedures.

· Participates in third-party onsite risk assessments and assists with written reports.

· Assists with review and maintenance of the Vendor Management Office's policies, procedures, checklists and documentation as required.

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training.

Experience

· Minimum of 5 years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Self-motivated, highly organized and detailed oriented as well as strong problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

· Ability to interact with all levels of management across the organization.

Hybrid

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
