Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager, Vehicle Validation in California to lead the SSN validation program across multiple vehicle programs. You will set strategy, coach a team of Program Leads, and ensure cross-functional alignment on validation plans, risk, and readiness.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled validation and data-driven decision making. The position requires extensive experience in automotive validation, strong leadership, and familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Jama dashboards.

Qualifications

Typically 10+ years in automotive or complex electro-mechanical products.
Experience in technical program management, systems engineering, validation, or similar cross-functional leadership.
Demonstrated ability to plan and orchestrate validation across multiple programs at portfolio level.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Program Leads TPMs responsible for validation execution on assigned SSN programs.
Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching to elevate team execution.
Translate SSN's goals into a validation strategy and operating plan.
Align DVP coverage, asset plans, and long-lead test timing across programs.
Orchestrate vehicle-level test usage and asset allocation; re-plan at portfolio level as needed.
Escalate validation gaps, risk, or cross-functional conflicts to leadership.
Monitor progress with data-backed updates on status, risk, and tradeoffs.
Pilot AI-enabled validation methods and expand use of dashboards and data systems.
Set development goals for the team and publicize wins to attract talent.
Champion the team's perspective in cross-functional forums.
