Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Lead System Integration engineer to drive system integration and testing for next-generation vehicle controllers and software platforms. The role focuses on integrating ECUs on system benches, validating Ethernet/CAN/LIN communication, and stressing software for stability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in systems engineering/vehicle network development and industrialization, minimally on a sub-system domain level
• Solid technical knowledge of E/E architecture and vehicle networks, their functions and features, solid understanding of LIN (ISO 17987-1) and CAN (ISO 11898-1) networks
• Basic knowledge of Ethernet network (OA TC8) and SOME/IP protocol
• Good understanding of automotive testing standards for distributed systems (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester)
• Knowledge of agile test methods, tools and automation (proven working knowledge with one or more of the following tools: Doors Next Generation, IBM RTC, Jira)
• Strong experience in test automation using Python, CAPL
• Experience with continuous integration, testing & deployment (Github, Artifactory, Conan, Teamcity)
• Test automation experience using dsapce Control desk, ECU Test and Test Guide

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration and testing activities for the vehicle controller and software platform.
• Flash and validate ECU software, verify inter-ECU communication (Ethernet, CAN, LIN) and assess stability under stress.
• Develop test cases using Python and CAPL scripting; automate execution on CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with SW design, architecture teams and cybersecurity experts to ensure end-to-end system integrity.
• Set up and maintain system benches and remote test environments; analyze results and implement remediation to improve security posture.
