Pronto AI is seeking a deeply technical security engineer to own the safety-critical security fabric of our autonomous vehicle systems. You will work across embedded software, vehicle networks, firmware, hardware, and security architecture, partnering with vehicle engineering leadership to shape direction.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in security engineering, hands-on automotive network expertise, and experience securing OTA updates.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, including automotive/embedded or industrial IoT security.
• Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN/CAN-FD, UDS).
• Experience with automotive security testing tools (SocketCAN, CANoe, Kayak).
• Production experience securing OTA firmware or software update systems.
• Experience with secure boot, code signing, firmware integrity, and rollback protection.
• Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 and integrating cybersecurity requirements into product lifecycles.

Aufgaben

• Own the security of the systems that make our vehicles operate safely, from in-vehicle networks to OTA updates.
• Serve as the senior security partner to vehicle engineering teams and help set security direction for the broader team.
• Threat model and secure vehicle networks against common attacks (injection, spoofing, replay).
• Design and review ECU security controls including secure boot and anti-rollback protections.
• Secure the OTA update pipeline with signing, staged rollouts, and tamper detection.
• Collaborate with hardware/manufacturing teams on supply-chain risks and counterfeit components.
• Represent Security in architecture reviews and early requirements discussions.
• Own incident-response strategies for compromised vehicles and safe remote isolation.
