Job summary

Groupe Kardol is seeking a Software QA Vehicle Engineer in Torrance, CA to lead QA across in-vehicle systems, embedded ECUs, and vehicle connectivity. You will expand automated and manual test coverage for on-road and bench environments to ensure safe, high-quality software releases for production vehicles.

The role focuses on hands-on vehicle testing, diagnostics, and CI-driven validation workflows, with collaboration across powertrain, connectivity, and software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
• 5+ years in software quality assurance with automotive experience.
• Experience testing embedded vehicle software and CAN/LIN systems.
• Familiar with test automation across UI/API/in-vehicle contexts.
• Strong log and trace analysis for defect reproduction.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and validate in-vehicle tests including functional and regression.
• Test ECUs and CAN/LIN behavior with thorough reporting.
• Architect and maintain scalable test automation for vehicle software.
• Collaborate with powertrain, connectivity, and software teams to align tests.
• Document defects with clear logs and reproduction steps from vehicle systems.
• Validate OTA updates and cloud-to-vehicle communication flows.
• Support CI-driven validation workflows and build verification tests.
