Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks an experienced engineer to maintain the integrity of its multi-repo vehicle interface architecture. You will ensure deterministic builds with Bazel and GitLab CI, debug complex embedded systems, and help define how 2nd ECUs integrate with RVT platforms.

You will collaborate with architecture, software, and validation teams to track integrations, refine change management, and improve system traceability across the vehicle network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with embedded development and safety-critical systems preferable.
• Proven experience with Bazel and GitLab CI for automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize multi-repo software architecture for vehicle interfaces.
• Ensure CI/CD health with Bazel and GitLab CI to enable deterministic builds.
• Debug complex embedded systems and ECU interfaces; develop lightweight tools for network analysis.
• Define and integrate how 2nd ECUs interface with RVT platforms; coordinate cross-functional work.
• Document software versions, hardware revisions, and feature sets for traceability.
• Collaborate with architecture, software, and validation teams to drive issues to closure.
