Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) Hardware Engineer to join the Phantom Works Vehicle Management System hardware team in Berkeley, MO. You will lead cross-disciplinary design, requirements, and test activities across hardware and software interfaces to ensure system integrity throughout the product lifecycle.

This role requires a BS in engineering with electrical/mechanical/aeronautical focus and 9+ years of experience, or advanced degrees with relevant

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related field.
Level 4 (Senior): 9+ years with bachelor or 7+ years with Master or 4+ years with PhD.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements decomposition and traceability from customer need to testable design.
Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements.
Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
Understand and apply job practices, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications.
Analyze, translate, and implement customer requirements into system architecture and hardware design.
Define test and validation approach to ensure system designs meet requirements.
Troubleshoot integration and sustainment across hardware/software life cycles.
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integrity and compliance.
