Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Experienced Vehicle Management Systems Hardware Engineer to join the VMS hardware team. You will lead requirements decomposition, design hardware interfaces, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver hardware solutions for aircraft programs in St. Louis, with on-site work expected.

Required is a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or 3+ years with a Masters/PhD. Preference for active Secret clearance and MBSE knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related field.
• Level 3 (Experienced): 5+ years with a Bachelor's or 3+ years with a Masters/PhD.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements decomposition and traceability from customer need to testable design.
• Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements per contract.
• Design hardware and interface specifications.
• Understand and apply job practices, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
• Develop statements of work and technical performance specifications.
• Translate customer requirements into system architecture and hardware design with traceability.
• Define test and validation approaches to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Troubleshoot integration and sustainment across hardware/software life cycles.
• Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integrity.
