Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Flight Systems Engineering Capability in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Experienced Vehicle Management Systems Hardware Engineer to join the VMS hardware team. You will design, test, and document electronic and electrical system hardware across the product lifecycle.

Lead requirements decomposition, interface specs, and supplier coordination; obtain interim and final secret clearance as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements decomposition and traceability from customer need to testable design
• Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to contract requirements and customer feedback
• Design hardware and interface specifications
• Understand and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts
• Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications
• Analyze, translate, and implement customer requirements into system architecture, hardware design and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
• Defines test and validation approach to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Troubleshoot integration and sustainment anomalies across hardware/software life cycles
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements and for potential application to internal business strategies
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integrity and compliance with requirements
• Coordinate suppliers, test labs, and cross-discipline engineering to deliver on schedule and cost
• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware over the entire product lifecycle

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Level 3 (Experienced): 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters or PhD
