Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer III in Briggs, TX to drive launch-vehicle integration from assembly through testing. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure seamless builds and flight readiness.

The role requires hands-on integration, development of plans and procedures, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, including ITAR considerations. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace vehicle integration or related engineering.
• Experience with system-level testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAD software and integration tools.
• Knowledge of NASA/FAA/DoD standards and DFMA.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle integration activities across structural, mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems.
• Develop and execute integration plans, procedures, and timelines for assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to ensure proper hardware integration.
• Provide hands-on support for integration with technicians and engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain timelines.
• Contribute to best practices for system integration, testing, and verification.
• Support environmental and functional tests on integrated aerospace vehicles.
• Document procedures, lessons learned, and process improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
