Job summary

Zoox is seeking a vehicle verification and validation engineer to validate new functions of our autonomous vehicle platform. You will lead validation for all vehicle-level features, build test cases, and analyze results.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure production readiness and continuous improvement of the robot’s features and capabilities. You will develop validation plans, establish a regression testing cadence, and support homologation activities.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent with experience.
• 6+ years in hardware/software/systems verification and validation.
• Experience writing test cases and test reports for vehicle requirements.
• Experience testing vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, HMI, dynamic, quasi-static).
• Experience operating development vehicle test assets and modifying onboard software.
• Familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the vehicle-level validation plans for all vehicle-level features.
• Create test cases for all vehicle-level features: robot and customer-centric.
• Conduct, document, and analyze all validation test results and issues found in written form.
• Identify and establish a regression testing suite and cadence for applicable features.
• Support homologation test case creation and validation.
