Lucid Motors in Newark, CA is seeking a Sr. Vehicle Crash Test Engineer to lead passive safety tests and crash investigations. You will develop test plans based on design and simulation inputs, and oversee execution of crash, sled, and component tests while coordinating with internal teams and external labs.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong communication, and a proactive mindset to thrive in our fast-paced environment focused on safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in vehicle crash tests or related testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Direct experience with vehicle development tests and crash testing.
• Knowledge of regulatory tests for crash safety.
• Hands-on, proactive attitude and problem-solving drive.

Responsabilités

• Develop crash test plans from design and simulation inputs.
• Execute vehicle crash, sled and component tests and report results.
• Manage crash testing budget and schedule.
• Design fixtures for components and sub-systems tests.
• Sign-off parts for testing and coordinate with external labs.
• Contribute to discussions to improve vehicle safety.
