Job summary

Atoms seeks a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer to own vehicle bring-up and sensor calibration across autonomous platforms. You will drive the sequence, calibration method, and acceptance criteria for first autonomous engagement and production release, building repeatable calibration and test infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechatronics/Mechanical or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years integrating, validating, and debugging electrical and electromechanical systems on autonomous vehicles, EVs, or automotive suppliers.
• Deep hands-on expertise in vehicle E/E architecture, low-voltage power, wiring, and fault modes.
• Fluency with CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, DTCs and related tooling.
• Experience integrating compute into vehicles: carrier boards, high-speed signaling, power sequencing, and thermal management.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and communicate trade-offs to cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Bring-Up: end-to-end bring-up including power-on, firmware load, device enumeration, validation, and fleet sign-off.
• Sensor Calibration: calibrate lidar, radar, camera, IMU, GNSS; define calibration criteria and verify drift conditions.
• Test Plans & Validation: create and execute test plans, analyze data, and report actionable results.
• Cross-Domain Diagnosis: diagnose failures across mechanical/electrical/firmware/software boundaries with reproducible steps.
• Test Hardware & Tooling: design and maintain benches, harnesses, and diagnostic tooling.
• Design Feedback: feed learnings back to hardware design to ease calibration.
• Technician Partnership: collaborate with technicians who execute builds and bring-up.
