Job summary

Atoms is hiring a Director of Vehicle Integration to lead hardware-in-the-loop validation, vehicle integration, and bring-up across vehicle platforms. You will guide architecture, harnessing, sensor placement, and fault handling while coordinating with OEMs and internal teams as we bring new platforms to fleet.

This role requires hands-on leadership of senior engineers and technicians, and onsite work in San Francisco, with a focus on modular, testable designs and scalable processes for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of relevant experience, 5+ in leading engineers.
• Ownership of vehicle integration from architecture to fleet deployment.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle networks and drive-by-wire integration.
• Proven ability to convert bespoke bring-up into repeatable processes.
• Experience on L3/L4 automated driving or production ADAS programs.

Responsibilities

• Off-vehicle validation: own hardware-in-the-loop and bench validation against real vehicle interfaces.
• Integration architecture: manage electrical architecture, harnesses, mounting, sensors, compute, and interfaces.
• On-vehicle bring-up: own build instructions, drawings, calibration procedures, and production scripts.
• Cross-functional interfaces: collaborate with robotics, vehicle operations, hardware eng, and OEM partners.
