Lucid Motors in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for Vehicle Body and Access Systems to drive embedded control software and hardware integration. You will own access control features, localization algorithms, and cross‑functional collaboration across ECUs for robust vehicle functionality.

Candidates should have 4+ years in automotive control, strong MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow expertise, and proficiency in C/C++. ISO 26262 awareness and experience with CAN tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 4+ years in automotive control systems with advanced algorithms.
• Expert model-based design using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Strong automatic control theory and Kalman filtering knowledge.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedding into ECUs.
• Experience with industry tools such as JAMA/JIRA/Git/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop control systems for vehicle access control features including lock/unlock and authentication.
• Develop requirements and test cases for access control features modeled in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Collaborate to improve simulation models for access control localization algorithms.
• Assist integration of features into the controller code base and calibrate in-vehicle.
• Support FMEA for ISO 26262; develop diagnostics and interfaces across ECUs.
• Participate in design to advance EV engineering and system refinement.
