Job summary

ACRT Pacific is seeking a Senior Vegetation Management Inspector to oversee tree clearance crews, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with public agencies. This role is safety-sensitive and requires residence within 50 miles of Grass Valley, CA. Training in OSHA-related and ISA/TRAQ credentials is supported.

Base compensation is $52.87 per hour with additional benefits outlined in the contract, including a supplemental hourly amount and daily subsistence for overtime, and union involvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Five years’ experience in tree/vegetation management or related roles.
• Certified Arborist or TRAQ preferred (not required).
• Experience with data collection devices and GIS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patrols distribution or transmission circuits and prescribes work for tree contractors.
• Assesses need for trimming or removal to maintain annual clearance.
• Ensures safety rules and regulatory standards are followed on site.
• Audits VMIs and supports training of inspectors.
• Maintains relationships with public agencies and contractors.
• Performs safety observations and documents findings.
