Job summary

ACRT Pacific is hiring a Vegetation Management Inspector to patrol circuits within California, identify hazards, and prescribe tree work along PG&E rights‑of‑way. You will coordinate with local property owners and crews, documenting findings and supporting safety and compliance throughout the VM program.

The role requires rugged terrain work, strong map-reading ability, and effective communication with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• 1 year experience as VMI or equivalent on utility contract.
• ISA Arborist certification preferred.
• Ability to operate in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Strong map reading and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol distribution or transmission circuits and prescribe work to be performed by PG&E’s tree contractor.
• Identify required tree pruning or removal to meet PG&E Vegetation Management standards.
• Notify property owners/agencies about work and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Coordinate with contractors, communities, agencies, and first responders; support emergency response as needed.
• Maintain documentation in VMDSR and other PG&E databases; complete tasks independently.
