Job summary

SHR Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (VDI) to ensure stable operation of in-house systems and networks. You will plan, install, configure, maintain, and optimize server and VDI infrastructure, including Citrix and Azure components, across Fort Belvoir and other locations.

The role requires DoD 8140 baseline certification, strong Windows Server and VDI experience, automation scripting, and the ability to lead a team of system administrators in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience with 6+ years in enterprise IT systems.
• Windows server administration and VDI experience.
• Citrix and Azure certifications required.
• Strong networking, load balancing, and high-availability knowledge.
• Automation scripting to improve admin efficiency.
• DoD 8140 baseline security certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end-user software and connectivity issues.
• Analyze capacity and performance, advise config changes.
• Automate admin tasks and train staff.
• Provide end-user training.
• Recommend technology direction aligned with business goals.
• Support multiple locations with local and remote maintenance.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain servers and apps.
• Lead other admins in day-to-day tasks.
• Manage application networking and fault tolerance.
• Perform vulnerability management.
