Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Senior VDC Engineer to join our Nashville team. This role focuses on integrating 3D modeling and innovative tools to improve project performance, collaboration, and constructability across complex projects.

The Sr. VDC Engineer operates with limited guidance from VDC Managers, supporting 4D/5D workflows, BIM specifications, and coordination across trades. Travel to project sites in the Nashville area is required.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial construction experience with VDC responsibilities.
Ability to travel throughout greater Nashville to project sites.

Responsibilities

Communicate VDC purpose and standards for pursuits and projects; train teams as needed.
Set up and support Box, Bluebeam, Autodesk Forma, 5D takeoff; coordinate scheduling tools.
Maintain 4D scheduling, 3D coordination, model QA/QC, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD and Revit.
Participate in software testing for new releases of existing and new software.
Understand and support BIM Specification Plans and AE BIM Guidelines.
Assist in setting up BIM Coordination, 4D/5D workflows, VR/AR, Laser Scanning, and related tools.
Create draft BIM Execution Plans and assist in setup for coordination workflows.
