The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong backend development skills, and familiarity with REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Thought Machine Vault Core is required.
• Strong Python programming and backend development expertise.
• Experience developing, configuring, or implementing Vault Core smart contracts.
• Solid understanding of core banking concepts, including accounts, deposits, lending, interest calculations, and transaction processing.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement banking solutions using Thought Machine Vault Core.
• Develop, configure, and maintain Python-based Vault Core smart contracts supporting banking products.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to connect Vault Core with internal banking applications and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to translate banking requirements into technical solutions.
• Support core banking modernization initiatives, including platform integration, data migration, testing, and deployment.
• Develop scalable, cloud-native applications using Python, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving banking transactions, account processing, integrations, and platform performance.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to improve engineering efficiency.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, regulatory compliance, reliability, and performance standards.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and production support activities.
