Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior HashiCorp Vault Engineer to manage and extend an enterprise secrets-management platform used by internal apps to securely store, retrieve, and rotate credentials. The role involves configuration, maintenance, upgrades, automation, and cross-team collaboration with developers, security, and Kubernetes teams.

You will own Vault platform aspects, contribute to architecture improvements, and ensure high availability and secure access controls across deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on vault administration in production environments.
• Strong background in information security or platform engineering.
• Experience with secrets management, password rotation, and access controls.
• Scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, maintain, patch, and upgrade the Vault platform.
• Support secure credential storage, retrieval, and automated rotation.
• Troubleshoot integrations, APIs, authentication, and permissions.
• Develop automation to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers and security teams on Vault consumption patterns.
