Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Vascular Sonographer II to perform high-quality vascular exams under minimal supervision. The role requires identifying vascular variants and pathologies, reporting findings, and creating preliminary reports for reading Vascular Surgeons.

The position also involves mentoring staff and students and assisting with scheduling and accreditation tasks. Minimum training in vascular technology is preferred, with at least two years of vascular scanning

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program preferred.
• Equivalent work experience considered.
• Two years of vascular-specific scanning experience required.
• Active membership in SDMS or SVU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality vascular sonography exams and report findings.
• Identify anatomic variants and pathologies of the vascular system.
• Mentor students, fellows, residents, and new staff members.
• Assist with scheduling, revenue reconciliation, and accreditation documentation.
