Job summary

Sira Consulting seeks an experienced electromechanical product development leader in San Jose, CA to drive NPI from concept to production and sustain engineering activities. You will collaborate across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, and Suppliers to deliver milestones.

You will tackle BOM structuring, engineering changes, and product documentation, while conducting DFM/DFX reviews and FMEAs to improve manufacturability, reliability, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Lead and support NPI programs from concept to production and end-of-life.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Component Engineering, and Suppliers.
• Drive BOM structuring, configuration management, and change management.
• Conduct DFM/DFA/DFX reviews and DFMEA to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Support product lifecycle management and sustaining engineering activities.
• Identify value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans for product development activities.
• Coordinate stakeholders and provide status updates to ensure milestones are met.
• Review requirements, drawings, tolerances to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Assess supplier capabilities and resolve technical manufacturing challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
