Job summary

Coventry, the life settlements leader, is seeking a UX/UI Product Designer to own the design of AI-native platforms for consumers and business users, in collaboration with product and engineering.

The role covers internal tooling and external interfaces across life insurance and annuity domains, with hybrid work and NYC presence near Madison Square Garden. You will be the first staff designer, shaping design culture and standards as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped work (B2B and B2C).
• Deep UX fundamentals including IA, flows, and interaction design.
• Strong UI craft in Figma with production-ready designs.
• Active use of AI/generative AI tools in design workflows and a point of view on their impact.
• Clear communicator, able to present and defend decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of owning projects end-to-end and delivering against milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design of core user journeys for employee tooling and external interfaces; produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Define and evolve information architecture and ontology to aid navigation for high-skill and first-time users.
• Establish the design foundation for AI-powered features and intelligent guidance across surfaces.
• Build and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Contribute to the product roadmap with user insight and design thinking.
