Job Title: Senior UX Researcher & Designer

Location (city, state): Fort Worth, TX

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $110,000–$130,000 annually, plus a 7% target bonus and an employee stock ownership plan contribution valued at approximately 15% of annual salary

Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule with three days onsite Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday

We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher & Designer who can contribute across the complete user experience lifecycle—from discovery and research through workflows, prototyping, validation, and development handoff.

This position will serve as the primary UX partner within a cross‑functional product team that includes product management, product ownership, solution architecture, and software development. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on UX generalist who can independently evaluate user needs, create practical design solutions in Figma, and advocate for the end user throughout product planning and delivery.

Much of the work involves improving web‑based and mobile‑accessible experiences built on existing enterprise platforms. Rather than designing every product from the ground up, this individual will help create a cohesive and intuitive experience across multiple configurable systems while accounting for business and technical limitations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own UX activities from initial discovery through design validation and implementation support
• Develop user flows, journey maps, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and finished interface designs
• Personally create layouts and clickable prototypes in Figma
• Partner with product managers, product owners, developers, architects, and other stakeholders within an embedded product‑team structure
• Conduct usability studies and feature validation through UserTesting.com or similar platforms
• Complete heuristic reviews and competitive research to identify usability issues and relevant industry patterns
• Convert user insights into clear, practical recommendations for product and development teams
• Improve the page‑by‑page experience users encounter as they navigate digital applications
• Present research findings, design concepts, and supporting rationale to stakeholders and leadership
• Respectfully question assumptions and influence product direction when a proposed solution does not adequately serve the user
• Design effective experiences within the limitations of configurable, third‑party technology platforms
• Apply established component libraries and design standards to create consistent experiences across products
• Support accessibility, inclusive design, and usability throughout the development lifecycle
• Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and collaborative problem‑solving sessions
• Use AI‑enabled tools to accelerate research synthesis, workflow creation, ideation, content development, and design exploration
• Guide or mentor junior UX professionals when additional project support is assigned
• Assist with UX strategy and product‑roadmap discussions while balancing user, business, and technical priorities

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of professional UX research and design experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage the end‑to‑end UX process
• Strong, hands‑on Figma experience, including wireframing, prototyping, component usage, and developer handoff
• Portfolio showing both the completed product and the process used to reach the final solution
• Portfolio examples should include artifacts such as workflows, user flows, personas, journey maps, research findings, and low- or high‑fidelity designs
• Experience conducting usability testing and applying findings to product decisions
• Background working directly with product managers, engineers, and other cross‑functional partners
• Ability to clearly distinguish and explain personal contributions to collaborative projects
• Comfortable operating independently as the principal UX resource assigned to a product area
• Strong presentation, facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder‑management skills
• Ability to influence decisions and professionally challenge product direction when appropriate
• Understanding of human‑centered design, interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and design‑thinking practices
• Experience working within technical or platform constraints
• Degree in human‑computer interaction, interaction design, human factors, psychology, cognitive science, data science, or a related discipline is helpful but not required; equivalent professional experience will be considered
