Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior UX Product Researcher to partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to bring customer evidence into product and roadmap decisions.

You will lead end-to-end research programs across major product lifecycles, translating findings into actionable insights for senior leadership and shaping the experience for AWS service teams and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
• 5+ years of hands-on work with field research, ethnography, lab-based usability testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design
• Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
• Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
• Experience with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design
• Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
• Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
• Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)

Responsibilities

• Own and manage research programs for major product and service lifecycles, from discovery through launch and post-launch evaluation.
• Design and execute research using a mix of methods suited to a technical audience — including developer and stakeholder interviews, surveys, diary studies, usability testing, and behavioral/log and telemetry analysis.
• Embed with engineering teams to translate customer and builder needs into technical requirements and influence how services are designed.
• Identify new research opportunities that inform product strategy and influence business decisions.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Inform strategic planning documents with customer evidence and recommendations.
• Navigate ambiguous business problems and define research approaches that drive clarity.
• Contribute to the broader research community through patents, publications, or internal knowledge sharing.
