Job summary

Insomniac Games is seeking a Senior User Experience Researcher to lead usability and player-experience research for a AAA title. The role collaborates with development teams to produce reports that inform creative decisions and enhance game quality.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, proactive in communication, and capable of building trust with studio leads and external partners. The position is hybrid, with travel to Burbank and San Mateo every 1–2 months for playtest studies.

Qualifications

• AAA Games UX Research experience is required.
• Hybrid role with travel to Burbank and San Mateo labs every 1–2 months.
• Experience collaborating with external research partners and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee user experience research on a large-sized project.
• Define session formats, goals, and test plans with development teams and external researchers.
• Lead studies including one-on-one sessions, focus groups, and playtests.
