Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, AZ.
• Experience leading end-to-end UX research with qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Knowledge of UX design principles and processes.
• Experience planning and leading complex research initiatives from discovery through reporting.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in agile environments.
• Proficiency with UX research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, Google Analytics.
• Experience mentoring or supervising researchers, interns, or student employees.
• Strong portfolio or work samples demonstrating research impact may be required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic UX research partner to product, design, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
• Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiry, analytics, focus groups, participatory workshops, and co-design sessions.
• Translate research goals into well-scoped research plans and select appropriate methods.
• Analyze and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
• Deliver research artifacts, reports, presentations, and dashboards to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Manage multiple research initiatives in an agile environment with shifting priorities and timelines.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to UX research student employees.
• Partner with the UX Research Director to coordinate initiatives, improve processes, and scale the UX Research practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of UX research methods, tools, and best practices.
• Support ASU EdPlus's digital teaching and learning products and improve experiences for ASU Online learners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, AZ
• Experience leading end-to-end UX research using qualitative and quantitative methods
• Knowledge of UX design principles and processes
• Experience planning and leading complex research initiatives from discovery through synthesis and reporting
• Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders in agile environments
• Proficiency with UX research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
• Experience mentoring or supervising researchers, interns, or student employees
• Strong portfolio or work samples demonstrating research impact may be required
