Job summary

Zipline is seeking a User Experience Designer for the New Products team to research and shape how people interact with Platform 2. You will own design requirements for system touchpoints, guiding development to deliver optimal experiences for Zipline operators and customers.

You will design end-to-end experiences across physical and digital touchpoints, translate complex system behavior into clear models, and partner with engineers and industrial designers to ensure cohesive interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in UX/Industrial/Product design shaping user connection to physical products, digital interfaces, and real-world workflows.
• Strong visual communication: journey maps, diagrams, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes.
• Ability to prototype physically and digitally and present work to leadership.
• Ability to simplify complex technical experiences for usability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user experiences across physical and digital touchpoints (aircraft, pods, docks, loading workflows, operator tools, customer moments).
• Translate system behavior into clear interaction models, journeys, and product requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Industrial Designers to define physical interactions and feedback.
• Ensure consistency between physical systems and software interfaces.
