Job summary

Google is seeking an Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences for billions of users. You’ll create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to evolve the Google design language.

In Google Sheets, you’ll help design AI-powered experiences—pre-computed summaries, AI avatars, and collaboration features—shaping product direction with cross-functional partners across Google Workspace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience in prototyping at various fidelity levels using Figma, Antigravity, or code.
  • Experience working with spreadsheet tools.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • 2 years of experience leading design projects.
  • Experience partnering with User Experience Research (UXR) to inform research studies and integrate insights into products.
  • Experience using product design, concept development, and storytelling to influence product strategy and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional Google Sheets teams to manage complex, technical features and challenges.
  • Drive design thinking and product innovation across time horizons to set the direction and land near‑term solutions for meeting user needs.
  • Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
  • Drive design direction and refine solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
  • Pioneer AI-driven designs.
