Job summary

Britebound is seeking an experienced User-Experienced Designer to join on a contract through December 31, 2026. You will lead design initiatives, create flows and prototypes in Figma, and deliver accessible, mobile-first experiences for middle/high school users.

Collaborating with product managers, researchers, designers, and developers, you will translate research into design decisions and ensure alignment with our design system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products and experiences.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and end-to-end ownership.
• Ability to independently lead design projects and contribute quickly within a team.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for wireframes, prototyping, visual design, and system components.
• Foundational UX concepts, information architecture, and responsive web/mobile design.
• Experience interpreting research data to inform design decisions.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring user-centric outcomes.
• Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visuals in Figma.
• Apply modern UI/UX patterns for engaging experiences for young users.
• Adopt mobile-first responsive design for web and mobile.
• Ensure alignment with design system and contribute improvements.
• Integrate accessibility best practices per WCAG guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, researchers, designers, and developers.
• Present concepts and justify design decisions to varied audiences.
• Identify risks and iterate quickly with feedback from stakeholders.
