Team: this team works on the content for tests and very “content driven” and the users are educators and internal stakeholders.

Profile: Seek a senior UX designer that loves working with content management systems and all related – user experience research and making content easy to find and absorb. Ideal background is Edtech and/or content management system design.

About the Team

The Create team is focused on building the tools, platforms, and systems that power assessment authoring at scale. Our work supports the full assessment authoring ecosystem, including the creation, review, management, and lifecycle of test content and related data, used across Client programs and partners.

On the Create team, designers work closely with a large, highly skilled engineering organization and dedicated product partners. Designers are embedded within interdisciplinary product teams, collaborating daily with product managers, engineers, and programാമ്പီ(Color). Collaborations help shape solutions from discovery through delivery.

We care deeply about understanding the needs, workflows, and constraints of our users, many of whom are expert practitioners working in complex, high-stakes environments. Curiosity, empathy, and collaboration are core to how we work, and user insight is foundational to our decision‑making.

About the Opportunity

As a Senior UX Designer on the Create team, you will help shape the future of Client’s assessment authoring ecosystem. You’ll design tools that support educators, subject‑matter experts, reviewers, and operational teams as they create and manage high‑quality assessments.

In this role, you’ll work in an interdisciplinary environment where design, product, and engineering collaborate closely throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role emphasizes systems thinking, research‑driven design, and end‑to‑end ownership of the user experience from discovery and strategy through execution and delivery.

In This Role, You Will:
Design & Implementation (70%)
  • Develop a deep understanding of users, their workflows, and their needs through research and ongoing partnership
  • Identify target users and form hypotheses around user needs and behaviors
  • Own and lead generative and evaluative research for your products
  • Analyze business, technical scrum points, and operational requirements to inform design solutions
  • Collect and synthesize multiple data sources (e.g., research, surveys, analytics, accessibility reviews)
  • Facilitate synthesis and alignment sessions using agile and lean methodologies
  • Create user journeys, service maps, and flows that capture current and future states
  • Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, visual designs, and detailed specifications
  • Partner with Accessibility specialists to ensure composição, inclusive, and compliant experiences
  • Present design concepts, rationale, and outcomes to product teams and proizvvy
  • Conduct design handoffs to engineering using tools such as Figma
  • Collaborate with other designers to align on shared patterns, systems, and standards
  • Contribute to UX and product strategy across the assessment authoring ecosystem
  • Help evolve shared patterns and systems to support consistency across tools and platforms
  • Clearly document and communicate design decisions and tradeoffs
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, advocating for user needs and design quality
  • Champion a culture of user empathy, curiosity, and continuous learning
  • Advocate for effective, lightweight design processes that work in an embedded model
Project Management (10%)
  • Independently manage priorities and scope across multiple initiatives
  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery

About You

  • You're an expert in information architecture, workflow design, and interaction patterns
  • You are fluent in user‑centered research methods and applying insights to design
  • You understand accessibility and inclusive design principles
  • Familiarity with front‑end technologies and data modeling is a plus
  • You are a clear, thoughtful communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines
  • You are adaptable, curious, and energized by complex, ambiguous problem spaces
