Job summary

Google is seeking an Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences for billions of users. You will join a multi-disciplinary UX team and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to evolve the design language and deliver industry-leading consumer experiences.

You will apply user-centered design methods from concept to execution, creating engaging interactions and prototypes that feel real and delightful.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience building and designing AI-powered consumer products or features.

Responsibilities

Establish and advocate a cohesive design strategy for advertising within Generative AI. Look past immediate constraints to paint a compelling future for how commercial information integrates seamlessly into conversational and multimodal user journeys.
Materialize ambitious concepts through advanced prototyping (including code, system prompting, and high-fidelity interaction design). Set the bar for experiential quality, proving the viability of new interaction models before they enter production.
Lead experimentation for a wide variety of novel ad formats. Identify user needs, propose hypothesis-driven designs, and iterate rapidly based on live experiments and research insights.
Act as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership across Engineering and Product. Navigate matrixed organizations to driveconsensus, advocating the user perspective.
