Job summary

Primoris Gas Operations seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex utility infrastructure projects across Minnesota and Wisconsin, managing planning, permitting, construction, and closeout. You will oversee multi-project delivery, drive safety, schedule, and financial performance, and partner with estimating teams for competitive bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of PM experience in utility construction, with strong leadership, communication, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Five+ years of project management experience within the utility construction industry.
• Extensive experience managing underground and/or overhead electric or natural gas utility infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience navigating utility permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, developers, municipalities, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Lead the complete project lifecycle, including estimating support, planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, closeout, and final restoration.
• Manage multiple utility construction projects simultaneously while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and field operations to ensure successful project execution.
• Review and interpret construction documents, including electrical one-line diagrams, civil, mechanical, and utility drawings.
• Lead project meetings, design reviews, and customer status meetings while providing clear communication to all stakeholders.
• Partner with estimating teams to develop competitive project estimates, scopes of work, and pricing strategies.
• Secure and manage permits, easements, and regulatory approvals while ensuring compliance with customer, municipal, state, and federal requirements.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, and forecasting to ensure projects remain within budget and contractual requirements.
• Identify project risks early and develop solutions that minimize impacts to schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular production and financial reporting.
• Lead, mentor and support project team members while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
