Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex utility construction projects and mentor PM teams across the Upper Midwest. You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety, and client relations while coordinating engineering, permitting, procurement, field ops, and construction teams.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in utilities, strong leadership, and the ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of construction PM experience; utility construction preferred.
• Experience with natural gas, electric utilities, telecom, power delivery, pipelines, or related infra.
• Leadership or mentoring experience with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple utility construction projects from planning through completion.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and financial performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, municipalities, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering, permitting, procurement, field operations, and construction teams.
• Monitor project risks and develop proactive solutions.
• Lead project meetings, status updates, and performance reviews.
• Partner with estimating and operations teams to support project execution.
• Mentor and develop project managers while promoting accountability.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
