Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation seeks a Utility Project Manager III to coordinate all utility-related activities for transportation projects. The role ensures utility impacts align with FDOT standards, policies, and schedules, providing advanced engineering expertise through development to construction.

Responsibilities include coordinating with utility companies, preparing agreements, and approving invoices, while serving as a liaison among the department, consultants, and internal offices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of continuous employment or two years of higher education with 48 semester hours/72 quarter hours.
• Knowledge of Utility Agreements, UAM/FDM/CPAM, and FHWA policies as they relate to utilities in ROW.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with consultants and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced engineering work on major or complex projects and coordinates utility-related activities from development through construction.
• Prepare agreements and process for execution; review invoices and manage consultant work.
• Serve as utility liaison and provide technical utility support to department offices.
