Job summary

GFY is seeking an experienced Senior Utility Coordinator / Business Development Manager to lead utility coordination and grow our utility practice across Florida. This seller-doer role pairs FDOT utility coordination expertise with a proven record of winning work and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of FDOT utility coordination experience.
• Proven ability to win work and manage client relationships.
• Experience coordinating with FDOT District personnel, UAOs, municipalities, counties, and utility providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility coordination on FDOT and transportation projects from conflict identification to relocation and permits.
• Coordinate with UAOs to resolve conflicts and manage relocation schedules and reimbursements.
• Interpret plans, agreements, and schedules ensuring compliance with standards.
• Lead meetings, mentor staff, and ensure QA/QC on deliverables.
• Build strategic relationships with FDOT, municipalities, UAOs, utilities, contractors, and partners.
• Identify, pursue, and win new utility coordination and permitting opportunities.
• Lead proposals, presentations, scope development, and fee negotiations; maintain pipeline.
• Represent GFY at industry events and support growth plans.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, monitor performance, and oversee delivery and invoicing.
