Job summary

The City of Chandler invites qualified individuals to apply for the Senior Utility Mechanic position at our Water Production Remote Facilities. The role is a regular full-time opportunity with a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday–Friday schedule in Chandler, AZ.

We seek a customer-focused team player who can perform skilled preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs at water-related sites. ADEQ certifications, a valid driver’s license, and safety training are required upon hire/promotion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record.
• ADEQ Grade 1 Water Treatment Certification on hire/promotion.
• ADEQ Grade 1 Water Distribution Certification on hire/promotion.
• Pass a respirator fit test within six months of hire/promotion.
• Obtain a 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification within six months of hire/promotion.
• Obtain an ADEQ Grade 2 Water Treatment Certification within one year of hire/promotion.
